MINNEAPOLIS, Aug. 3 (UPI) -- Ryan Doumit's go-ahead RBI single during a big seventh inning Saturday helped rally the Minnesota Twins over Houston 6-4.
The Twins were trailing 4-3 in the seventh when they started a comeback against Astros reliever Lucas Harrell (5-12).
Clete Thomas led off the inning with a double, moved to third on a sacrifice by Doug Bernier and scored the tying run when Brian Dozier sliced a pitch down the right-field line for an RBI two-bagger.
Joe Mauer was intentionally walked and Justin Morneau coaxed an unintentional pass to load the bases, bringing up Doumit, who blooped a 1-1 pitch into center field for a Minnesota lead.
Oswaldo Arcia capped the rally with a bases-loaded walk as Minnesota clinched its three-game series.
Brian Duensing (4-1) notched the decision with a scoreless seventh inning and Glen Perkins secured the victory with his 26th save.
Brett Wallace homered while Robbie Grossman added two hits with an RBI for Houston.
