SEATTLE, July 29 (UPI) -- Goals by Brad Evans and Lamar Neagle lifted the Seattle Sounders to a 2-1 victory over Chivas USA Sunday.
After Erick Torres put the Goats up 1-0 in the 16th minute, Evans took control of the ball 7 minutes later after a pass from Obafemi Martins and booted it by Chivas goalkeeper Dan Kennedy.
Neagle scored the winning goal in the 57th minute after Martins dribbled into the box from the right and squared the ball to Mauro Rosales, who sent it on to Neagle, who knocked it into the net.
Evans had a goal ruled out for offsides.
