MLB: Minnesota 4, Seattle 0

SEATTLE, July 27 (UPI) -- Samuel Deduno fired seven shutout innings and Justin Morneau went 2-for-4 with a long homer Saturday in the Minnesota Twins' 4-0 blanking of Seattle.

Deduno (7-4) mystified the Mariners, giving up just three hits and working around three walks while striking out six in posting his third win in three starts.

The Twins got all the scoring they would need in the fourth inning when Morneau led off with a double, went to second on Chris Colabello's single and scored on a Clete Thomas fielder's choice groundout.

Minnesota made it 2-0 on Aaron Hicks' bases-loaded walk in the sixth.

The Twins increased their lead to 3-0 when Brian Dozier lined a solo homer in the seventh and capped the scoring when Morneau blasted a pitch deep over center field fence for another bases-empty shot later in the inning.

The Twins took a second straight from Seattle after dropping the opener of their four-game series.

Seattle's Aaron Harang (5-9) took the loss despite allowing just one run on three hits over five innings.
