Fabio Fognini, Tommy Robredo advance to Croatia Open final

UMAG, Croatia, July 27 (UPI) -- Fabio Fognini will square off against Tommy Robredo for the Croatia Open championship after each took a semifinal victory Saturday.

Italy's Fognini reached his third straight final with 6-0, 3-6, 7-6 (7-3) comeback triumph against Frenchman Gael Monfils, winning the final two games of the final and then claiming the tiebreaker.

The 26-year-old reeled off his 13th consecutive match victory and will seek his third title of 2013 Sunday against Spain's Robredo, who posted a 6-3, 2-6, 6-4 decision over second-seeded Andreas Seppi of Italy.

Robredo, 31, will be looking for his second title of the year and is hoping to become the first Spanish winner in the Croatian tournament since Juan Carlos Ferrero in 2010.
