OIga Govortsova upsets No. 2 seed Samantha Stosur at Bank of the West

STANFORD, Calif., July 24 (UPI) -- Second-seeded Samantha Stosur of Australia committed 10 double faults Tuesday and was unceremoniously ousted from the Bank of the West Classic in California.

Stosur struggled with her usually dominating serve and fell to World No. 83 OIga Govortsova of Belarus in the second round of the hard-court event at Stanford University, which was a tune-up for Stosur for the upcoming U.S. Open, an event she won in 2011.
