CHICAGO, July 22 (UPI) -- Max Scherzer tamed the White Sox on two runs over eight innings Monday and the Detroit Tigers rolled to a 7-3 win over Chicago.

Scherzer (14-1) rebounded from his first loss of the season in his previous outing with a strong performance, allowing just four hits. The right-hander didn't issue a walk and struck out en route to the victory.
