MLS: New York 0, Toronto FC 0 (tie)

TORONTO, July 20 (UPI) -- Luis Robales made a key late save Saturday and the New York Red Bulls played a stout defense down the stretch of their 0-0 draw with Toronto.

With TFC putting on second-half pressure, Toronto's Richard Eckersly unleashed a shot in the 74th minute that Robales leaped to deflect over the crossbar with a fingertip save, preserving the draw.

Red Bulls stars such as Thierry Henry and Fabian Espindola were mainly quiet as New York (9-7-5) stretched its unbeaten streak against Toronto to nine games dating back to 2009.

Goalkeeper Joe Bendik needed to make only one save for TFC (2-10-8), winless in seven contests.
