Creamer shares lead at Marathon Classic

SYLVANIA, Ohio, July 19 (UPI) -- Paula Creamer, without a victory since her 2010 U.S. Women's Open triumph, grabbed a share of the lead Friday at the midway point of the Marathon Classic.

Creamer shot a 3-under-par 68 at the Highland Meadows Golf Club to tie for the top spot with Beatriz Recari and first-round leader Alison Walshe. Recari shot the low round of the day with a 65.

Jacqui Concolino birdied two of her final three holes for a 68 that put her alone in fourth place at 135 while world No. 1 Inbee Park was tied for fifth at 136.

Park has won six times on the LPGA Tour this year and has claimed all three major events played to date. She will try to become the first player in the history of men's or women's golf to win four professional majors in the same year when she competes in the British Women's Open in two weeks at St. Andrews.

Park was tied for fifth with Chie Arimura and 16-year-old amateur Lydia Ko.
