KANSAS CITY, Kan., July 13 (UPI) -- Soony Saad notched two goals Saturday and Sporting Kansas City took over the Eastern Conference lead with a 3-0 victory over Toronto TC.
Saad's first goal -- his first since 2011 -- came in the 21st minute when he received a pass from Seth Sinovic, settled the ball and put a volley into the net.

He scored again in the 51st minute on the rebound of a long shot by Graham Zusi.
Claudio Bieler added another goal in 63rd minute for Kansas City (9-5-6), which extended its unbeaten streak to five games and took over the lead in the East with 33 points.
Toronto fell to 2-9-7.
