ANAHEIM, Calif., July 6 (UPI) -- Felix Doubront struck out five batters over 6 2/3 innings Friday to help the Boston Red Sox defeat the Los Angeles Angels of Anaheim 6-2.
Doubront (5-3) kept the Angels to five hits and two walks to record his first win since June 1.

David Ortiz had a two-run home run, Mike Napoli added a solo shot and Jarrod Saltalamacchia added two hits and an RBI for Boston, winners of nine of their last 10 games.
C.J. Wilson (8-6) gave up three runs on 10 hits and two walks over 6 2/3 innings, snapping his four-start win streak.
Howie Kendrick contributed a solo homer in the loss, the second in the Angels' last three games.
