Colorado tacked on three runs in the fifth with Cuddyer scoring on a single from Todd Helton. Cuddyer hit a solo homer in the seventh to give the Rockies a 9-4 lead.

Jhoulys Chacin (8-3) picked up the win, surviving 5 2/3 innings while giving up four runs on nine hits. He has won each of his last five starts.

Chris Capuano (2-6) was touched for six runs on seven hits in 4 1/3 innings to take the loss. It was only the second setback for the Dodgers in their last 12 games.
