MLB: Tampa Bay 7, Houston 5 (11 innings)

HOUSTON, July 4 (UPI) -- Yunel Escobar had three RBI, including one on an 11th-inning double Thursday that helped the Tampa Bay Rays beat Houston 7-5.

With the score tied 5-5, Jose Lobaton led off the top of the 11th with a walk off of Astros reliever Josh Fields (0-1) and then took second on a passed ball. Escobar drove in Lobaton with a double to right and then took third on a fly out to right by Desmond Jennings.

Wesley Wright came on in relief and got pinch-hitter Sean Rodriguez on a groundout but then unloaded a wild pitch that allowed Escobar to score an insurance run for the Rays, who have won five of their last six games.

Jamey Wright (2-1) got the win after pitching a scoreless inning of relief in the 10th. Fernando Rodney earned his 18th save.

Brett Wallace had three hits, two of them home runs, and drove in four for the Astros who lost for the eighth time in their last 10 games.
