Brawl over Aaron Hernandez in Conn. diner

WEST HARTFORD, Conn., July 1 (UPI) -- A brawl over murder suspect and former New England Patriot Aaron Hernandez broke out in a West Hartford, Conn., diner and led to three arrests, police said.

Police said Hernandez' brother D.J. may have been in the restaurant when the fight began but could not confirm it. If he was, he was gone before police arrived, Lt. Frank Fallon said.

The early-morning fight began after an unidentified person called out, "Hey, Aaron Hernandez" after seeing a man who resembled Hernandez, a resident of nearby Bristol, Conn. Two of the three arrested said they had been sitting with Hernandez' brother, police said.

D.J. Hernandez, a local resident, is an assistant football coach at the University of Iowa and former University of Connecticut player.

Alberto Lopez, 30, Jesus Agosto, 36 and Thomas miller, 30, were each arrested and charged with assault, breach of peace and criminal mischief, the Hartford, Conn., Courant reported Monday.

Two of the alleged combatants, and a woman sitting at a nearby table, were injured but declined medical treatment, police said.

Aaron Hernandez was charged with murder in the death of Odin Lloyd on June 28.
