MLB: Los Angeles Dodgers 6, Philadelphia 1

LOS ANGELES, June 30 (UPI) -- Stephen Fife threw seven shutout innings and Yasiel Puig stayed hot with four hits Sunday in the Los Angeles Dodgers' 6-1 victory over Philadelphia.

Fife (3-2) scattered four and issued just one walk in taming the Phillies in a dominating, 99-pitch outing. The rookie right-hander struck out five.

Puig went 4-for-5, scoring twice while raising his average to .436 in continuing his bid to land a spot on the National League all-star team.

A.J. Ellis went 3-for-4 with an RBI and Matt Kemp contributed a pair of hits, including a run-scoring single, as the Dodgers reeled off their eighth win in nine games.

The loss was hung on Phillies starter Kyle Kendrick (7-5), who gave up four runs on 10 hits in six innings.

Jimmy Rollins went 2-for-4 with an RBI for Philadelphia, which dropped three-of-four games in Los Angeles.
