MLB: Baltimore 4, New York Yankees 2

BALTIMORE, June 30 (UPI) -- Baltimore's Chris Tillman got through six innings Sunday and the Orioles completed a three-game sweep of the New York Yankees with a 4-2 victory.

Tillman (10-2) registered his sixth win in six starts, posting a 2.68 ERA over the span. The right-hander limited New York to two runs on five hits.

Darren O'Day, Troy Patton and Tommy Hunter combined for two innings of scoreless relief and Jim Johnson registered his 28th save for Baltimore, which won for the fifth time in six games overall.

Manny Machado went 3-for-4 with solo homer, raising his batting average to .321, while Chris Davis belted his MLB-leading 31st long ball and Nate McLouth also went deep for Baltimore.

With the sweep, the second-place O's moved to 2 1/2 games behind Boston in the American League East.

Yankees starter Hiroki Kuroda (7-6) surrendered four runs on seven hits over six full frames.

Robinson Cano homered for slumping New York, which dropped a fifth straight and fell 6 1/2 games off the pace in the East.
