MLB: Baltimore 7, Cleveland 3

BALTIMORE, June 27 (UPI) -- A two-run double by Matt Wieters highlighted Baltimore's five-run fifth Thursday and propelled the Orioles to a 7-3 win over Cleveland.

Baltimore overcame a 3-2 deficit with its big inning and then waited out a rain delay in the seventh to earn a split of the four-game series. The Orioles had lost five of their previous six games.

The Orioles batted around in the fifth, scoring all five runs in the inning off Corey Kluber (6-5).

Nick Markakis singled in the first run of the inning, another came home on a fielder's choice grounder by Chris Davis and Wieters then doubled home two more.

The final run scored on an infield single by J.J. Hardy.

All of that made a winner out of Miguel Gonzalez (6-3), who struck out nine over 6 2/3 innings. Gonzalez allowed three runs on nine hits without a walk.

Mike Aviles added a fifth-inning, solo homer for the Indians. Two of Baltimore's runs were driven in by Lonnie Chisenhall, one of them with a home run in the second and another with a double in the fourth.
