MLS: Real Salt Lake 2, Seattle 0

SANDY, Utah, June 23 (UPI) -- Kyle Beckerman and Robbie Findley both scored Saturday, lifting Real Salt Lake to a 2-0 win over Seattle and into the Western Conference lead.

Beckerman provided all the offense Salt Lake would need when he collected a loose ball after a Javier Morales free kick from near the top of the box and fired it home in the 41st minute.

Then, just after halftime, Findley doubled the lead, putting a shot inside the far post after picking up Alvaro Saborio's off-target try.

RSL (9-5-3) reeled off its fifth straight without a loss and, with 30 points, moved past FC Dallas for the top spot in the West.

The Sounders fell to 6-5-3.
