EASTBOURNE, England, June 21 (UPI) -- Gilles Simon and Feliciano Lopez posted straight-set wins Friday to grab spots in the finals of the Aegon International tennis tournament in England.

Simon, the No. 2 seed in the event, topped seventh-seeded Andreas Seppi 6-4, 6-3 and Lopez came out a 7-6 (7-3), 6-1 winner over Ivan Dodig in semifinal matches.

Simon improved to 4-0 lifetime versus Seppi -- who won the Aegon International two years ago and was the runner-up in 2012 -- by getting three breaks in each set. He ended up winning one more point -- 35-34 -- off Seppi's serve than Seppi managed.

Lopez lost 10 points in 10 serving games and didn't see a break point in his win over Dodig. Neither player had a break opportunity in the first set but Lopez got the advantage in the tiebreaker and quickly put the match away in the second set.

Simon beat Lopez in a 2008 match in the only previous meeting between the two. Simon is 10-3 in ATP title matches with his most recent championship coming in April 2012.
