MLB: Minnesota 7, Chicago White Sox 5

MINNEAPOLIS, June 18 (UPI) -- Ryan Doumit had three hits Tuesday, including a double that drove in the go-ahead run in the Minnesota Twins' 7-5 win over the Chicago White Sox.

Doumit doubled with two outs off Ramon Troncoso (0-1) to snap a 5-5 tie and give the win to Jared Burton (1-4), who had allowed the Sox to tie the game in the top half of the eighth.

Joe Mauer went 3-for-5 and drove in two runs and Trevor Plouffe also knocked in a pair of runs, for the Twins, who jumped out to a 4-0 in the first inning.

Paul Konerko went 4-for-4 for the White Sox and Conor Gillaspie added a two-run homer. Chicago lost for the 13th time in 15 road games.
