PORTLAND, Ore., June 15 (UPI) -- Darlington Nagbe got the game's only goal in the 52nd minute and the Portland Timbers edged FC Dallas 1-0 Saturday in a battle of Western Conference contenders.
Nagbe broke a scoreless deadlock when he collected a Kalif Alhassan throw-in in the left corner, spun around and fired a curling shot past helpless Dallas goalkeeper Raul Fernandez.

The Timbers (6-1-8) stretched their club-record unbeaten streak to 13 games and pulled to within two points of conference-leading Dallas, which fell to 8-3-4.
