MINNEAPOLIS, June 13 (UPI) -- Ben Revere scored the go-ahead run on a fielder's choice grounder in the eighth inning Thursday, rallying Philadelphia to a 3-2 victory over Minnesota.
The Phillies overcame a one-run deficit by scoring twice in the eighth, thus breaking a five-game losing streak.
Minnesota moved in front on a two-run double by Justin Morneau in the seventh, but Jared Burton (0-4) was unable to protect the lead in the eighth.
Kevin Frandsen opened the eighth with a double and moved to third when Revere reached on a bunt single.
Michael Young then singled to bring home Frandsen and send Revere to third. That brought up Jimmy Rollins, who hit a grounder to first. The throw came home, but Revere was able to beat it and that run put the Phillies in front.
Philadelphia starter Cliff Lee was the pitcher of record when Philadelphia made its comeback. Lee (8-2) allowed two runs on three hits with six strikeouts in seven innings. Jonathan Papelbon fanned two in the ninth on the way to his 12th save.
