DAYTONA BEACH, Fla., June 10 (UPI) -- Inbee Park continued a strong year with her second LPGA major tournament title and bolsters her position as the world No. 1-ranked women's golfer.

Park defeated Catriona Matthew on the third hole of a sudden-death playoff Sunday and won the Wegmans LPGA Championship. It was her second major title of the year -- she also won the Kraft Nabisco Championship in April -- and fourth LPGA championship of the year.

It was after the Kraft Nabisco win that Park took over the No. 1 spot in the world rankings, a position she's held for nine weeks.

Matthew jumps from 16th to No. 12 in the rankings and there were minor changes in the Top 10. Suzann Pettersen, who tied for third one stroke behind Park and Matthew, moves to third in the rankings with Choi Na-yeon slipping to fourth. Jiyai Shin goes to No. 8 as Karrie Webb is now ninth.
