MLB: Milwaukee 9, Philadelphia 1

MILWAUKEE, June 9 (UPI) -- Kyle Lohse recorded his first victory since late April Sunday, yielding just one run over eight innings in the Milwaukee Brewers' 9-1 rout of Philadelphia.

Lohse (2-6) handled the Phillies on four hits, issuing one walk and striking out six to break a seven-start winless streak. The right-hander tossed 70-of-102 pitches for strikes.

Carlos Gomez smacked a two-run homer, Martin Maldonado added a solo shot and rookie Scooter Gennett notched his first two major-league RBI as the Brewers took three-of-four games against Philadelphia.

Phils starter Jonathan Pettibone (3-2) was touched for six runs (four earned) on four hits over 5 1/3 innings.

Humberto Quintero knocked a solo homer for Philadelphia.
