ST. PETERSBURG, Fla., June 9 (UPI) -- J.J. Hardy and Adam Jones each went 3-for-5 with two RBI Sunday, sparking a 16-hit assault that carried the Baltimore Orioles over Tampa Bay 10-7.
One of Jones' hits was a solo homer and Alexi Casilla went 2-for-3 with a pair of RBI for the Orioles, who avoided a three-game sweep at Tropicana Field.
Steve Pearce added three hits and scored twice while Nick Markakis chipped in with an RBI double and sacrifice fly as Baltimore built a 9-1 lead by the fourth inning.
Chris Tillman (6-2) earned the decision, allowing three runs (two earned) on four hits over six innings. He walked one and struck out five.
Rays starter Matt Moore (8-2) was lit up for nine runs (eight earned) on 12 hits over five innings.
Sam Fuld cracked a two-run homer while Luke Scott and Jose Lobaton each added a run-scoring single in the late innings for Tampa Bay.
