Rain wipes out NASCAR Sprint Cup qualifying

POCONO, Pa., June 7 (UPI) -- Rains associated with Tropical Storm Andrea wiped out qualifying Friday for Sunday's scheduled Sprint Cup race at Pocono Raceway.

The starting grid for the 400-mile race was determined by current owner point standings and that means Jimmie Johnson will start on the pole. Carl Edwards will begin on the outside of the first row.
