MLB: Arizona 7, St. Louis 6 (14 innings)

ST. LOUIS, June 5 (UPI) -- Paul Goldschmidt drove in the go-ahead run in the top of the 14th inning Tuesday to give the Arizona Diamondbacks a 7-6 victory over the St. Louis Cardinals.

Goldschmidt sharply singled up the middle with runners at the corners off Victor Marte (0-1) to give the D-backs their third win in four games.

Goldschmidt had three hits and two RBI in the contest. A.J. Pollock provided a three-run homer.

Josh Collmenter (2-0) struck out five over four scoreless innings out of the bullpen to chalk up the win. Heath Bell allowed a leadoff double in the 14th but held on for the save.

David Freese had four hits for the Cardinals and extended his hitting streak to 14 games. Shane Robinson and Allen Craig homered.
