MLS: Seattle 2, Chivas USA 0

CARSON, Calif., June 2 (UPI) -- Obafemi Martins tallied in the 22nd minute Saturday and the Seattle Sounders kept Chivas USA on the skids with a 2-0 victory.

Martins' left-footed shot off an assist from Mario Martinez was his fourth goal of the year and provided all the offense the Sounders would need.

The Goats (3-8-2) saw their winless streak extended to eight games.
