Matt Kuchar forges two-shot lead at the Memorial Tournament

DUBLIN, Ohio, June 1 (UPI) -- Matt Kuchar carded a 2-under 70 Saturday to take a two-shot lead after three rounds of the Memorial Tournament in Ohio.

It was the second straight 70 for Kuchar, who will be shooting Sunday for his sixth career PGA Tour title. He ended the day at 8-under-par 208 -- two better than Kevin Chappell, who fired a 4-under 68, and Kyle Stanley, who registered a 1-over 73 to end the round knotted for second place at 6-under.

Overnight leader Bill Haas stumbled to a 4-over 76 Saturday to finish tied for fourth place with Matt Jones (70) and Justin Rose (71) at 5-under 211.

Charl Schwartzel (76), J.J. Henry (68), Scott Piercy (71) and Adam Scott (69) were tied for seventh one shot further back.

Players completed the second early Saturday after Friday's play was suspended due to darkness.
