MLS: Portland 2, D.C. United 0

WASHINGTON, May 25 (UPI) -- Rodney Wallace scored the only goal Portland would need Saturday and the Timbers stayed unbeaten on the road with a 2-0 win over D.C. United.

Wallace, who played for the Washington squad in 2009-10, broke a scoreless tie in the 21st minute when he stole the ball from defender Frederic Piquionne and fired home his fourth goal of the season.
