LOS ANGELES, May 25 (UPI) -- Lance Lynn struck out nine over six innings Friday and received plenty of offensive help in carrying St. Louis to a 7-0 win over the Los Angeles Dodgers.
The Cardinals won their third in a row, limiting the Dodgers to three hits and getting three RBI each from Allen Craig and David Freese.
Lynn (7-1) gave up two of the hits and walked only one in a six-inning stint. He threw just 77 pitches and was given the final three innings off after St. Louis had built a seven-run lead.
Freese doubled in the first St. Louis run in the second inning and added a two-run homer in the sixth. Craig contributed a two-run double in the third and had a solo blast in the fifth.
Chris Capuano (1-3) allowed five runs on six hits in five innings to suffer the loss.
