MLB: Kansas City 7, Houston 3

HOUSTON, May 22 (UPI) -- The Kansas City Royals scored all of their runs in the final two innings of their 7-3 victory over the Houston Astros Tuesday.

Alex Gordon had three hits in the win, which snapped Kansas City's four-game losing streak and gave Bruce Chen (3-0) the win in relief.

Alcides Escobar drove in two Kansas City runs on a scratch single and a force out.

Jimmy Paredes gave Houston a 3-0 lead with a three-run homer in the fourth inning; however the Royals roared back with a pair of runs in the seventh, four more in the eighth and an insurance run in the ninth.

Paul Clemens (1-2) took the loss in relief of Bud Norris, who pitched six scoreless innings for the Astros. Houston had won three of their last five games prior to Tuesday.
