MLB: San Diego 13, Washington 4

SAN DIEGO, May 19 (UPI) -- Yonder Alonso went 3-for-4 with a solo homer, two RBI and three runs scored Sunday, keying the San Diego Padres' 13-4 rout of Washington.

Will Venable and Kyle Banks each provided a homer and two RBI while Everth Cabrera and Jedd Gyorko also knocked in two runs apiece as the Padres banged out 15 hits en route to the win.

Andrew Cashner (3-2) claimed the victory, yielding three runs on seven hits over 6 2/3 frames. The right-hander issued just one walk and struck out six as San Diego earned a four-game split with the Nationals.

Washington starter Dan Haren (4-5) was lit up for seven runs on nine hits over five full frames.

Ryan Zimmerman clouted a two-run homer and added an RBI single for the Nats.
