MLB: Detroit 6, Houston 2

DETROIT, May 14 (UPI) -- Doug Fister yielded two runs through seven efficient innings Tuesday and the Detroit Tigers rallied from a two-run deficit for a 6-2 win over Houston.

Fister (5-1) rebounded from poor outing in a Thursday loss to Washington, controlling the Astros on five hits. The right-hander didn't allow a walk and struck out seven.

The Tigers erased a 2-0 deficit with three runs in the fifth, capped by Andy Dirks' RBI ground-rule double.

Miguel Cabrera went 2-for-3 with a solo homer and Victor Martinez added two hits, including an RBI single, as Detroit clinched its three-game series.

Houston starter Lucas Harrell (3-4) was reached for five runs on seven hits in five frames.

J.D. Martinez had an RBI for the Astros.
