MLB: Cleveland 4, Detroit 3 (10 innings)

DETROIT, May 12 (UPI) -- Mark Reynolds delivered a pinch-hit, tie-breaking single in the 10th inning Sunday, completing the Cleveland Indians' 4-3 comeback win over Detroit.

The Indians were trailing 3-2 with in the ninth and facing Tigers closer Jose Valverde when Michael Bourn coaxed a lead-off walk and stole second.

Two outs later, Jason Giambi also drew a walk and Brantley followed by lining a pitch into left field, extending the contest.

In the 10th, Asdrubal Cabrera greeted Darin Downs (0-1) with a lead-off double and went to third on an out. Carlos Santana was intentionally walked and Cabrera was cut down at the plate trying to score on Bourn's grounder.

But Santana went to second on the play and came home when Reynolds -- hitting for Lonnie Chisenhall -- singled to left.

Joe Smith (1-0) got the decision with a scoreless bottom of the ninth and Cody Allen recorded the final out for his first career save as the Indians took the rubber match of a three-game series.

Brayan Pena went 3-for-4 with a two-run homer for Detroit.
