MLB: Cincinnati 13, Milwaukee 7

CINCINNATI, May 11 (UPI) -- Jay Bruce led a 14-hit Cincinnati assault Saturday, going 3-for-5 and two RBI, including a homer, in the Reds' 13-7 pounding of Milwaukee.

Cincinnati, clinging to a 5-4 lead in the third, scored seven times to break the contest open, capped by Bruce's RBI double.

Pitcher Mat Latos, Devin Mesoraco, Joey Votto, Shin-Soo Choo and Zack Cozart also each knocked in two runs for the Reds.

Latos (4-0) earned the victory despite allowing seven runs (six earned) on nine hits and three walks through six innings. He struck out four.

Brewers starter Hiram Burgos (1-1) was flattened for 12 runs (10 earned) over three frames in his fourth major league start.

Jean Segura went 4-for-5 with a solo homer and three runs scored in the loss.

Norichika Aoki also homered while Carlos Gomez and Aramis Ramirez each drove in a pair of runs for slumping Milwaukee, which fell for the eighth time in nine games.
