MUNICH, Germany, May 1 (UPI) -- Ivan Dodig claimed a second-round upset of No. 2-seeded Marin Cilic in Wednesday's play at the BMW Open tennis tournament in Germany.

He'll next play fifth-seeded Alexandr Dolgopolov, who defeated Dmitry Tursunov 7-6 (7-2), 7-6 (7-3). Dolgopolov didn't manage a break until the eighth game of the second set. However, that erased Tursunov's only break of the match and forced the second tiebreaker.

No. 4-seeded Philipp Kohlschreiber raced by Evgeny Korolev 6-2, 6-4 in 63 minutes in his second-round match. Kohlschreiber had 10 aces and lost only five points in nine games serving. He didn't drop a point on serve in the first set.

Wednesday's other result saw Viktor Troicki defeated Radek Stepanek 6-4, 6-4 behind a pair of breaks in each set.

Kohlschreiber draws Troicki in Friday's quarterfinals.
