Denver held a 12-point halftime lead, but Golden State outscored the Nuggets by 15 in the third period and the contest turned into a taut duel over the final 12 minutes.

The Nuggets closed to within one on a 3-pointer by Wilson Chandler with 16.5 seconds left, but Denver could not score again.

Harrison Barnes went to the foul line for Golden State with 3.7 seconds remaining, but he could hit only 1-of-2. That gave Denver a chance to win it at the buzzer, but Andre Iguodala misfired on a 3-pointer at the buzzer.

Curry scored 29 points and had 11 rebounds, hitting all nine of his foul shots. Jarrett Jack had 23 points, five rebounds and seven assists off the bench and both Barnes and Carl Landry contributed 19 for the Warriors.
