MLB: Los Angeles Angels 6, Seattle 3

SEATTLE, April 27 (UPI) -- Mark Trumbo and Hank Conger homered and the Los Angeles Angels scored five runs in the first three innings Friday in a 6-3 win over Seattle.

Trumbo and Conger each drove in two runs, Albert Pujols drove in a pair and Peter Bourjos had two hits and scored twice for the Angels.

C.J. Wilson (2-0) started and went 5 1/3 innings for LA, giving up three runs on seven hits with two walks and nine strikeouts.

Sean Burnett, Dane De La Rosa, Scott Downs and Ernesto Frieri held the Mariners scoreless the rest of the way, with Frieri getting his third save.

Kelly Shoppach had two hits and drove in a run for Seattle.

The Angels got to Mariner's starter Aaron Harang (0-3) early, with a run in the first, two in the second -- when Conger hit a two-run home run -- and two more in the third, when Trumbo hit a two-run shot.

Harang went three innings, allowing five runs on six hits with two walks and one strikeout.
