OAKLAND, Calif., April 26 (UPI) -- Adam Jones had three of Baltimore's 15 hits Thursday and scored twice in an offensive outburst that carried the Orioles to a 10-2 win over Oakland.
The Athletics lost for the sixth time in seven games.
Baltimore overcame an early two-run deficit with a three-run third that featured an RBI double by Jones and the Orioles piled on seven runs in a four-inning stretch beginning with the fifth.
Nick Markakis contributed a run-scoring single in the third and a sacrifice fly in the fifth. Chris Davis drove in two runs with a sixth-inning homer and a base hit in the eighth.
Jason Hammel (3-1) benefited from the offense to get the easy win. He allowed only three hits and two unearned runs in six innings.
Baltimore roughed up starter Jarrod Parker (0-4) for six runs on eight hits in 5 1/3 innings.
