MLB: Los Angeles Dodgers 7, New York Mets 2

NEW YORK, April 24 (UPI) -- Mark Ellis hit two home runs Tuesday in carrying the Los Angeles Dodgers past the New York Mets 7-2.

Ellis went 4-for-5 with four RBI, including a three-run home run in the seventh inning that broke a 2-2 tie and set the Dodgers up for their second consecutive victory.

A.J. Ellis drove in a pair of runs for the Dodgers in support of Ronald Belisario (1-2), who picked up the win in relief of starter Clayton Kershaw. Kershaw gave up two runs in five innings.

Daniel Murphy had two of New York's four hits and drove in a run.

Brandon Lyon (1-1) took the loss after allowing Ellis' home run in the seventh.
