MLB: Los Angeles Angels 5, Texas 4 (11 innings)

ANAHEIM, Calif., April 24 (UPI) -- Howie Kendrick hit a solo home run in the bottom of the 11th inning Tuesday, giving the Los Angeles Angels of Anaheim a 5-4 win over the Texas Rangers.

Kendrick, who went 3-for-5 with four RBI, also had a two-run home run in the victory, which improved the Angels to four wins in their last five tries.

Kendrick hit a 1-1 fastball off Joe Ortiz (2-1) over the centerfield fence, breaking a 3-3 tie.

Dane De La Rosa (1-0) was credited with the win for two scoreless innings of relief.

Nelson Cruz hit a three-run home run in the sixth inning for the Rangers, who had their four-game winning streak snapped.
