DENVER, April 21 (UPI) -- Jorge De La Rosa threw six shutout innings Saturday and the Colorado Rockies held off Arizona 4-3 for their seventh straight win.
De La Rosa (2-1) surrendered only two hits and two walks in the outing, striking out four.
Colorado built a 4-0 lead but then had to hang on as Diamondbacks scored twice in the eighth on a two-run homer by Eric Chavez.
Closer Rafael Betancourt yielded another run in the ninth, but induced Wil Nieves into a game-ending fly-out with two runners in scoring position to notch his seventh save.
Michael Cuddyer knocked a solo homer while Carlos Gonzalez and Troy Tulowitzki each added an RBI for the National League West-leading Rockies, who improved to 13-4.
Trevor Cahill (0-3) was touched for four runs (three earned) on six hits over seven innings, taking the loss for Arizona.
