Much of Boston proper and several areas in the surrounding region were in a lockdown situation as authorities searched for Dzhokhar Tsarnaev, 19.
Authorities said Dzhokhar Tsarnaev and his brother Tamerlan, 26, were suspected of placing two bombs hear the finish line of the marathon Monday. Three people were killed and more than 170 injured in the bombings.
Tamerlan Tsarnaev died Friday after a confrontation with police. His brother escaped, setting off a massive manhunt that included closing off sections of the city.
The Red Sox played Tampa Bay early Monday, completing a 3-2 win before the bombings. The Friday game was to be the first at Fenway since then. No makeup date was announced for the postponed game.
