NBA: Chicago 95, Washington 92

CHICAGO, April 17 (UPI) -- Carlos Boozer led the way with 19 points Wednesday and Chicago warmed up for the playoffs by fighting off Washington 95-92.

Kirk Hinrich hit just 1-of-2 foul shots for Chicago with 17 seconds to play and the Bulls survived a missed 3-point attempts by A.J. Price and John Wall in the final 10 seconds.

Chicago earned the No. 5 seed in the Eastern Conference and will open the playoffs by playing on the road against Brooklyn.

Boozer also had 15 rebounds while Hinrich and Nazr Mohammed both had 18 for the Bulls.

Washington wound up its season at 29-53, producing its largest victory total in five seasons. The Wizards, however, lost their last six games.

Price led Washington with 24 points off the bench.
