MLB: Milwaukee 10, San Francisco 8

MILWAUKEE, April 17 (UPI) -- A grand slam home run by Yuniesky Betancourt helped power the Milwaukee Brewers to a 10-8 victory over the visiting San Francisco Giants Tuesday.

Carlos Gomez and Norichika Aoki notched solo home runs for the Brewers and Rickie Weeks and Jonathan Lucroy had two RBI apiece.

Betancourt homered in an eight-run third inning that ended with the Brewers leading 9-3. Milwaukee and San Francisco both totaled a dozen hits, but the Brewers came away with the win that ended a three-game losing streak.

Brandon Kintzler (2-0) earned the win in relief of Wily Peralta, who lasted four innings. Jim Henderson picked up his second save of the season.

Barry Zito (2-1) took the loss for the Giants, who had won six of their previous seven games. Pablo Sandoval drove in four runs on two hits. Brandon Crawford supplied a solo home run.
