MLB: Cincinnati 0, Philadelphia 0 (ppd)

CINCINNATI, April 17 (UPI) -- Tuesday's game in Cincinnati between the Reds and Philadelphia Phillies was suspended in the bottom of the ninth inning due to rain with the score tied 0-0.

The contest will be decided Wednesday afternoon with the possibility of the contest being decided with one pitch should the leadoff batter for the Reds hit a home run.

The start of the game was delayed 90 minutes, but made it into the ninth before the rains became too heavy to continue.

Cincinnati starter Homer Bailey allowed two hits and struck out 10 in eight scoreless innings. Ardolis Chapman struck out two in the ninth.

Kyle Kendrick went seven scoreless innings for the Phillies, allowing two hits.
