NHL: New York Islanders 5, Florida 2

UNIONDALE, N.Y., April 16 (UPI) -- Michael Grabner scored his 14th and 15th goals of the season Tuesday, pushing the New York Islanders closer to a playoff berth with a 5-2 defeat of Florida.

Mark Streit added a goal and an assist while Matt Moulson and Radek Martinek also scored for the Islanders, who strengthened their grip on the seventh seed in the Eastern Conference.

Evgeni Nabokov logged 26 saves as New York earned a point in its eighth consecutive game while seeking its first post-season appearance since 2006-07.

Florida got a goal and an assist from Marcel Goc.

Jacob Markstrom was pulled in the second period after yielding five goals on 18 shots. Scott Clemmensen made 13 saves the rest of the way.
