MLB: San Diego 6, Los Angeles Dodgers 3

LOS ANGELES, April 16 (UPI) -- Chris Denorfia drew a bases-loaded walk from Paco Rodriguez for the go-ahead run Monday and San Diego went on to best the Los Angeles Dodgers 6-3.

With the score tied 3-3 in the seventh, Cameron Maybin drew a leadoff base-on-balls from Ronald Belisario (0-2) and went third on Jesus Guzman's single.

After Everth Cabrera also worked a walk to load the bases, Rodriguez relieved and issued yet another a free pass to Denorfia, forcing in Maybin with the decisive run.

Eric Stults (2-1) earned the decision with six full innings of three-run ball and also smacked a three-run homer en route to the win. The left-hander yielded nine hits and one walk while fanning four.

Huston Street picked up his second save as the Padres won the opener of a three-game series.

Carl Crawford went 3-for-5 with an RBI for the Dodgers.
