MLB: Toronto 4, Chicago White Sox 3

TORONTO, April 15 (UPI) -- Mark Buehrle hurled 6 2/3 solid innings in his first appearance against his former White Sox teammates Monday, sparking Toronto to a 4-3 win over Chicago.

Buehrle (1-0) yielded two runs on nine hits and two walks and recorded three strikeouts in winning his initial career outing against the Chisox after spending 11 years with the squad.

Buehrle signed as a free agent with the National League's Miami Marlins in 2012, then was dealt to Toronto of the AL in the off-season.

Maicer Izturis and J.P. Arencibia each socked a solo homer while Emilio Bonifacio and Melky Cabrera added an RBI apiece as the Blue Jays logged their third win four contests.

Chisox starter Gavin Floyd (0-3) remained winless after being touched for four runs on nine hits with three walks and six strikeouts in just 4 1/3 frames.

Dayan Viciedo went 3-for-4 with an RBI to lead the White Sox at the plate.
