SAN DIEGO, April 14 (UPI) -- Todd Helton cracked a pinch-hit, two-run homer in the seventh inning Sunday, backing Jorge De La Rosa's strong start in Colorado's 2-1 win over San Diego.

After Yorvit Torrealba sacrificed Nelson to second, Helton came to bat for De La Rosa and golfed a 2-1 pitch over the right field wall for two runs.

De La Rosa (1-1) scattered two hits and four walks over six scoreless frames, while fanning four.

Rafael Betancourt allowed a run in the ninth, but secured his fifth save when he struck out Nick Hundley to end the game as Colorado completed a three-game sweep at Petco Park.

Jedd Gyorko supplied the only RBI for San Diego.
